Now 2024 has come to an end below you will find every single timing enquiry from 2024 and what they were.
At the bottom of this post you will find a more detailed evaluation.
- Wingerworth Wobble (1 Timing Enquiry) – A lady had entered however she had entered as a Male accidentally and not Female.
- Dronfield 10k (3 Timing Enquiries) – We do the race entries for this race however the race also has access to the back end of the entry system. After we had done a postal send out of race numbers unfortunately the race director changed some information directly in the back end not knowing what impact this would have. So 3 runners had incorrect chip codes allocated to them which was a quick fix.
- Ultra Loop 12 Hour Track Race (3 Timing Enquiries) – The Ultra Loop is an event where runners choose how far they want to run in 12 hours. In these type of non uniform distance races there are 2 columns I manually add into the excel results and re-upload. After leaving home at 3.00am, driving for 2 hours, setting up, timing for 12 hours, packing up, driving 2 hours home at 2.00am I accidentally made 3 typos on one of the manual columns for example John Doe ran 146 laps not 147.
- PAU Newcastle 10k (1 Timing Enquiry) – A lady contacted the race to say she couldn’t see herself in the results, she was looking at 2023 results unfortunately not 2024s.
- Golden Gates Gallop (1 Timing Enquiry) – A gentleman messaged in after the race as he had taken someone else’s race number who couldn’t run and we hadn’t been informed to update before the race.
So all in all a very successful year, the most important bit to us is to make sure everyone gets a time and not missing anyone which as you can see we haven’t.
We are a small family run company, we don’t have ambitions to become a massive company ideally we want around 50 to 60 races that we time year in year out and build a really good relationship with the organisers.
If you would like to work together please don’t hesitate to reach out.
